Preschool Program
Environment:
The Millburn Church Early Learning Center provides an environment
that introduces young children to the realities of life that will
affect them as they move from family, to school, to the community.
Each child is individually guided to learn what he/she can do, to
accept himself/herself, and to take pride in and derive satisfaction
from his/her achievements. All of this comes about in an atmosphere
of professional excellence with a trained staff that is caring,
knowledgeable and mature.
Enrichment Activities. Throughout the year we offer a variety of
enrichment activities to enhance the program. This may include, but
is not limited to, field trips, special visitors and family events.
Facilities.
Our preschool offers a large, child-friendly classroom with a
diverse environment that promotes self-esteem, independence and
cognitive growth.
Activities.
Activities are planned around thematic units that include
developmentally age-appropriate activities such as creative play,
science and discovery, music and movement, and reading awareness.
Skills Development.
We help children develop positive self-esteem, learn respect for
others, sharpen and widen language skills, and work on
pre-kindergarten skills.
Christian Setting.
Daily table grace and weekly Bible story-time visits with the Pastor
provide religious education. Our chief aim is to provide each child
with a positive Christian school experience.
